I'm Nikki Sailor, a brazilian tattoo artist based in Liverpool - UK since 2015, with over 10 years of experience in tattooing, but obsessed about art since I was a little girl.
Get to know your artist
My story
​After moving to Liverpool in 2015 due to my husband's job, I worked at a tattoo studio for a couple years until I decided to open my own in 2018. I have owned and managed my own tattoo studio (Ghost Ship Tattoo) for over 7 years, briefly expanding it to a second location in the Wirral (Stingray Tattoo) for a year, until Covid hit and I decided to close the second location due to the constant lockdowns and uncertainty of that time. During pandemic, I also find out that I was pregnant with my first child, which would make it harder for me to cope with two locations.
But, after welcoming my second child just a little over a year from welcoming my first, managing the studio with it's staff on my own, and tattooing at same time, became extremely hard for me whilst also raising my two kids without any family support, apart of my husband, that only could help occasionally due to his line of work that often requires him to travel around the country or abroad.
Inevitably, in 2025 I crashed badly with severe burnout and chronic fatigue.

This was a big lesson for me on prioritising what matters in life and I thank the universe for showing me that life is much more than the rat race.
I closed my business in October 2025, went more minimalistic with my lifestyle and now I'm starting it all again, but in a more relaxed way: tattooing no more than 3-4 days per week at the lovely studio "Liverpool Tattoos" in Orrell Park - Liverpool, also creating a variety of other artworks that are available to purchase here and just enjoying life out of work more whilst being my happy bubbly self again!

Writing and acquiring new knowledge is another of my passions, so, apart of creating artworks, I also write about my findings in my blog that you can read here.

Drawing, painting and creating all forms of artworks always been a part of my life.
​
I'm ADHD so, sticking to a single style or medium was always a difficult task for me, but I embrace my neurological condition fully and I love mixing styles and mediums throughout my days because I simply have more fun when I can express my artistic self in a variety of ways!
​
In tattoos I can do most styles, from complex colour realism works and portraits to sketch style, fineline, black and grey, cover-ups, you name it! And I will always do my best, create original hand drawn designs that are unique for each client based on their ideas and execute it with extreme care as I'm my worst critic and a uncurable perfectionist.

I also enjoy creating alternative clothing and accessories, like my t-shirts brand "Sailor Tattoo Collective" and other unique handmade pieces that you can buy at my store.
​
Sometimes I also take on custom portrait commissions and other custom works like murals, upcycling furniture, designing social medias artwork posts, editing videos, writing children's books or doing illustrations for it, among other artworks. I graduated in business and fashion, working for a few years in the clothing industry during and after finishing university, including at Sao Paulo Fashion Week and haute couture brands, eventually owning my own skateboard and alternative clothing line back in Brazil, "Freak Store", hence why I have a weakness for creating fashion products.

My artwork life always been dynamic as I get bored too easily due to my hyperactive brains so, I'm always happy to work in new exciting projects that stimulates and pushes the boundaries of my creativity!
